We want the same for your kids as you do - for them to spend their holidays doing what they enjoy, spending time with friends, and finishing each day wanting to do it all over again.
Anywhere you are, we are too! We're your local! With multiple locations and activities across Auckland and Hamilton, you get to choose what's best for you and your kids. Scroll down to see the list of locations.
Let your kids unleash their energy and challenge themselves with our thrilling activities!
Our experienced team deliver a range of sports and games during the day, and we also offer activity-based outings like ice-skating, rock climbing and more.
Marvel as your child expresses their creativity and imagination with our fun and educational arts and crafts activities.
At our centre-based days we offer painting, crafting, photography, and more. Kids will also get to apply the principles of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Maths) to real-life situations, making everyday fun and engaging.
Your kids will love these carefully chosen outings
Each holidays we create an action-packed programme of outings that we know everyone enjoys - from well-known local attractions to seasonal highlights. We work hard to offer both popular and loved options, plus new and exciting choices.

Do you need a helping hand to send your kids on our programmes these holidays? We believe there should be no barrier for children to participate in our programmes, so WINZ subsidies are available to approved families.
Yes, we do! As an approved holiday programme, parents who are eligible can access the OSCAR subsidy from Work and Income. If this is you, contact oscar@ymcaauckland.org.nz as we need to complete Part C of the application form, and you will need to pay a 20% deposit. There are different subsidy rates depending on your eligibility – check out www.winz.govt.nz for more information.
The Y uses an online booking system called AimyPlus. To book a Y’s OSCAR Kids’ school holiday programme, you need to follow these steps:
1. Choose the location and age group of the programme you want to book from the list of available options on the Y’s website.
2. Register your child/ren on our online booking system called AimyPlus, where you will provide your details, information about your child/ren, and any medical conditions or special needs they have. https://ymca-akl-ham-bop.aimyp...
3. Make a booking for the desired programme and dates on AimyPlus, and select the payment method and frequency. You can also apply for a Work and Income Subsidy if you are eligible.
4. Confirm your booking and receive a confirmation email with the programme details and instructions.
That’s it! You have successfully booked a Y’s OSCAR Kids’ school holiday programme.
Active kids are happy kids! Clothing children can move in is best, and for those who go hard, a change of clothes is always great to have in the bag. Children will need to bring a drink bottle, morning tea and lunch every day. Children can bring their rugby boots, but they are not a requirement, and are not to be worn in the club. Children who play tackle will need to have their mouth guard with them as well.
Unfortunately, no, not at this stage.
This is available on the relevant page for the location you have chosen
Children must be signed in and out each day by an authorised person. You can add as many people as you would like into your AimyPlus profile to collect your child. If someone turns up to collect a child and they are not on the approved list, we will call you to confirm. If your child will be making their own way to/from the programme please email oscar@ymcaauckland.org.nz or oscar.waikato@ymcahamilton.org.nz so you can complete the arrive/depart unaccompanied form.
