Massey’s YMCA Raise Up crew are asking for the public’s help to secure a dedicated space for youth at the YMCA Massey Leisure Centre.

The Massey Youth Hub project is one of 30 projects in the running to secure funding based on public votes in the ‘Million Dollar Mission’ competition organised by The Trusts of West Auckland.

Massey Raise Up can secure $50k in funding for the Youth Hub provided they receive 10,000 votes before 30 April 2017.

About the Youth Hub project
A rapid population increase and injection of new families into the Massey area has seen a growing need for more designated youth spaces.

YMCA’s Raise Up youth programme is aiming to address the situation by developing a Youth Hub. The new space, to be located in the YMCA Massey Leisure Centre, will improve YMCA and other groups’ capacity to provide valuable services that meet the complex and diverse needs of local youth.

The YMCA Massey Leisure centre and YMCA Auckland’s Raise Up youth development programme have a strong history in providing positive youth development opportunities to local communities.

Public voting in The Trusts Million Dollar Mission is open until 30 April 2017. Participants can vote once per day with any given email address.
