What will you be doing?

  • Implement stimulating activities and programming for children
  • Ensure children show growth and development through observations
  • Ensure children’s individual portfolios are updated monthly as a minimum
  • Teaching and learning with a view to improvement by noticing, recognising, responding, supporting and documenting competently the programme journey through Storypark and learning stories
  • Develop competent practices in facilitating children’s engagement in learning
  • Maintain and promote positive relationships with children that respect their individuality, culture and place in their community

What experience/skills do you need?

  • B Ed/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE) and current teacher registration/certification or third year student will be considered.
  • Good knowledge around current ECE regulations, Te Whariki and programme planning.
  • Passion for working with young children and a love for engaging with the community
  • Great communication skills as you will be chatting to children, parents and staff regularly
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional practice.
